Ky Co Beach has long been celebrated as one of the most beloved coastal gems in Quy Nhon, drawing visitors in with its crystal-clear waters, soft white sand, and breathtaking natural scenery. In this blog, we’ll take a closer look at what makes this dreamy shoreline so special among Vietnam’s many beach destinations.
Ky Co Beach, located in Nhon Ly Commune, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, lies just 25 kilometers from the city center and is part of the scenic Phuong Mai Peninsula. Often called the “little Maldives” of Vietnam, Ky Co boasts emerald water, soft white sands, and untouched natural scenery. The beach features calm, shallow waters which is so clear that you can see the bottom, with two stunning color tones: bright turquoise near the shore and a deep blue beyond.
Ky Co Beach Vietnam is best visited from March until September, when the weather is usually sunny and pleasant with little rain and calm waters, providing excellent conditions for outdoor adventures and sightseeing. Between May and August, the beach reaches its peak in popularity, bustling with visitors and filled with various entertainment and leisure activities. If you prefer a quieter vibe, visit early from around 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM to enjoy the beach before the crowds arrive.

From Quy Nhon City, visitors may choose to rent a motorbike at a daily rate of VND 150,000 - VND 180,000 (USD 5.8 - USD 6.9) or take a taxi (metered or app-hailing service). The drive takes you over Thi Nai Bridge, Vietnam’s longest bridge over the sea, leading to Phuong Mai Peninsula.
Continue along National Highway 19B, turn into the island commune of Nhon Ly, and pass the FLC resort. Upon arriving at Nhon Ly fishing village, you’ll find two ways to reach Ky Co Beach:

Whether you're soaking in the sea, exploring coral reefs, or watching the sunset from a mountain peak, every moment here feels special. Let’s take a look at four experiences you shouldn’t leave Ky Co without trying.
Ky Co Beach Quy Nhon is famous not only for its crescent-shaped shoreline and crystal-clear waters but also for the remarkable rock formations that extend into the sea. These rocky outcrops create narrow gorges and shallow pools that fill with seawater at high tide. Some rocks stand vertically in striking rows, while others have been carved over time by erosion into impressive caves, adding a mysterious and enchanting atmosphere to the beach.
The gentle mountains around the beach offer easy hiking trails with panoramic views of the pristine natural scenery below. It’s best to hike before 9:00 AM or after 3:00 PM to avoid the harsh midday sun, and traveling in groups is recommended for safety.
Along the coastline, visitors can leisurely walk past dramatic cliffs and hidden coves, or explore peaceful forest trails leading to secluded waterfalls and streams, immersing themselves in the serene beauty of the area.
